Date: March 3, 2008 To: All Regular Employees From: Human Resources Re: 2008 Transfer Requests
Once a year, in accordance with the Collective Agreement under Article 20.01, during the entire month of March, Regular Full Time and Regular Part Time employees are eligible to submit a transfer request form with their names to be placed onto the 2008 transfer list thru their respective Operations Manager.
The required process to follow should you be interested in placing your name on the 2008 transfer list form is as follows:
Regular employees shall notify their respective Operations Manager and identify two (2) Transfer Territories (as per "Appendix E ") in the Collective Agreement and/or Service Territories to which they would like to be transferred. A copy of the transfer form will be shared with the Union Steward for records.
Should there be a vacant regular position in the requested Transfer Territories, the regular employee with the most seniority on the transfer list for this Transfer Territory shall be given first priority to transfer.
In order to qualify for the transfer a requesting regular employee must be in good standing and be meeting all their job requirements to be considered for the Transfer request.
Employees are advised that transfer costs are solely the responsibility of the requesting employee. Should a regular employee be transferred as a result of their request, it is understood that the second request stated on their transfer form will become null and void.
Lastly, all Transfer Requests must be placed annually. Regular employees with prior requests that are still interested in remaining on the transfer list are required to submit a new form by completing the 2008 Transfer Request form for their requests to be considered.
If you have any questions, regarding this process please contact your Operations Manager for further clarification or Pauline Tanti, HR Specialist at 905 542 8019.
