We wish to inform you that effective January 1, 2010, Bell Technical Solutions group insurance benefits will be transferred from Sun Life Financial to Industrial Alliance, insurance and financial services.
This change in insurance carrier will result in long-term savings for the employees as well as the employer while maintaining the current coverage.
Pay Direct Drug card
In the next few weeks, Bell Technical Solutions insured employees will receive a new drug card from Industrial Alliance one (grey and white). This card will be effective only on January 1st, 2010.
You will therefore need to continue to use your Sun Life card (yellow and blue) until December 31st, 2009 for your drug claims. We ask that you destroy this card afterwards to avoid any confusion.
Claims
From now until January 1st, 2010 :
Claims for all costs incurred prior to January 1st, 2010 must be submitted at Sun Life Financial before March 31, 2010.
Effective January 1st, 2010 :
Claims for expenses incurred after January 1st, 2010 will have to be submitted to industrial Alliance.
You can easily download the Medical and Dental claim forms from the Industrial Alliance web site at www.inalco.com or obtain a printed copy by contacting your Benefits department.
The transfer of our group insurance contract to Industrial Alliance will be a very simple process for employees. A brochure will be available to employees at the beginning of 2010 and will be published on the Intranet under the "Benefits" section. Meanwhile, employees can refer to the current benefits booklet.
Industrial Alliance has established a telephone line entirely dedicated to Bell Technical Solutions employees in order to answer the various questions that this change might raise. Please contact an Industrial Alliance agent (Contract # 28188) or the Bell Technical Solutions benefits department for more information.
